Aroma is a traditional family-owned Italian restaurant based in the heart of Ryton village. We serve homemade, authentic Italian cuisine in a contemporary setting.
Head Chef Suad has extensive experience working in the best Italian Restaurants across the North East. This experience has enabled him to create a menu with your favourite classic Italian dishes alongside a changing roster of contemporary specials.
OUR STORY
Aroma began life when head chef and Aroma owner, Suad, had the opportunity to take over an existing, cheap and cheerful Italian restaurant in Ryton. Suad quickly re-shaped the space into a more relaxing environment and changed the menu to create a city centre dining experience within the rural village of Ryton, with some of the best Italian food you’ll find in the North East.
Suad learnt his craft at Porotfinos Newcastle, Fratelli Ponteland, and Rossini in Amble.

Our upstairs room is the perfect place for a celebratory, private dining experience. Not only can you enjoy our menu with your party, but the space has its own bar solely for your guests.
